We work beside studios on lighting that belongs to the drawing: sized to your ceiling, matched to your palette, made by hand in Istanbul. Send the plans and the material board — we will answer in the terms you already work in.
How we work
We read drawings, we respect a material schedule, and we join the project while the decisions are still open — not after the scheme is fixed and a fitting has to be found to fit it.
A lamp is an architectural decision: it sets the height of the warmth in a room, the scale of a table, the point the eye returns to. We treat it that way, and we stay with your studio through the revisions rather than waiting at the end of an order form.
Fabric & colour
Send a swatch, a wallpaper reference, a velvet from the upholstery, or the single colour the whole scheme hangs on. We work back from it — through vintage silks, satins, embroidered textiles and woven cloth gathered across Anatolia — until the shade sits inside your palette rather than beside it.
Where nothing existing answers, we print or dye to match. You see the cloth in hand before anything is cut.
Scale & drawing
Drop length, shade diameter, body height, the distance from the table to the first light — these come from your section, not from a standard. A 3.2-metre entrance hall and a 2.6-metre bedroom do not want the same piece, even in the same fabric.
We return dimensioned drawings you can place in the set, so the fixture can be coordinated with services and joinery before it exists.
Series & repeats
Twelve pendants over a bar, a shade repeated through forty guest rooms, one family of pieces that shifts scale between lobby, restaurant and suite. We build series for hospitality and multi-unit residential work — same cloth lot, same maker, same hand, so the twelfth reads as the first.
Quantities are scheduled against your site programme and delivered in phases if the floors open at different times.
Samples & mock-ups
We send a swatch set for the material board, and — for series work — a single finished piece to hang on site. You see it against the real wall, under the real ceiling, with the room's own light before anything is committed.
Nothing goes into production until that sample is signed off by you. Changes at that stage cost time, not trust.
The process
Send plans, sections and the material schedule — or simply the room and the question. A call or a visit to the atelier, whichever suits the stage you are at.
One considered proposal, not a menu: dimensioned drawing, fabric direction, quantities, lead time and a written quote. Revised with you until it sits correctly in the scheme.
Swatches for the board, and a finished sample piece where the project calls for one. Approved on site, in the room's own light, before the run is released.
Frame, shade, weave and trim pass through the hands of separate masters. Four to eight weeks for a single piece; series are scheduled to your programme. You hear from us as it takes shape.
Crated and delivered to site, installed by us in Istanbul and coordinated with your contractor elsewhere. Handed over signed, numbered and documented for the project file.
